An old favourite! Developed in Cambridge over 60 years ago, it is still one of the best known and loved varieties available. The orange-red fruit is medium sized, has firm flesh and is full of flavour. Excellent for freezing as it holds its shape and flavour very well. Cambridge Favourite is vigorous and produces a reliable heavy crop year on year. Good all-round resistance to disease, particularly powdery mildew. Will perform well on a wide range of soils and growing conditions. . Self fertile. Plant at a distance of 12-18in (30-45cm) apart, and 2ft (60cm) between the rows.
