Chit seed potatoes in a cool but frost free, light location. Chitting is not essential but can help give you an earlier crop.
More important is to plant seed potatoes once the soils start to warm up and protect emerging foliage if a late frost is forecast
First & Second Earlies – Plant March – April, 30cm (12″) between tubers in rows 45cm (18″) apart.
Early Maincrop and Maincrop – Plant April – May, 38cm (15″) between tubers in rows 60cm (24″) apart. Harvest approximately 10 weeks after planting (June-July)
Earth up potato tops once they have emerged 10cm above the ground to give tubers more soil to grow in and help prevent light getting to the tubers and causing them to turn green (green potatoes are poisonous)

The firm cooking type, yellow flesh and excellent taste make this variety very suitable for preparation in the oven.
A rather beautiful taste and remarkable appearance – enjoy as a salad potato for something a bit different.

Fruit trees can be ordered on this website but are a collection only item, if you order them for delivery your order will be cancelled and refundedDelivery and Collection:
Collection and Delivery options will be available on checkout. We try to get in stock orders boxed and shipped within 48hrs and often orders placed before 10am are shipped the same day. In busy periods however lead times could be extended. Orders containing plants will only be shipped Monday to Thursday (10am cut off) so they are not sat in boxes over the weekend. If you order after 10am on a Thursday you will not receive your order until Tuesday Seed only orders - £2.50: For orders that contain only packets of seed P&P is £2.50 to anywhere in the UK Standard Delivery - £4.95: Our standard P&P charge is £4.95 to Mainland UK Plants and Seed Potato - £9.50: These products will be subjected to a higher P&P fee of £9.50 due to the extra handling of plants and the extra weight with seed potatoes. Plants and seed potatoes delivered to the Scottish Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland will incur a surcharge of £8.00 (postcodes listed below) Free Delivery – Over £150: Order over £150 will be delivered free of P&P charges Collection – Nursery: Click and collect is available from the nursery all year around by arrangement. This option can be selected at Checkout. We will then contact you to arrange a collection day and time. Collection – Potato Day: During check out you will have the option to select collection from one of our potato days. Please remember these are one day events so you must be able to collect on that specific day. There will be no charge for this service. Payments for collections must be processed on the website Payment: We use Woocommerce Payments to service our debit/credit card sales online. Card details online are processed via Woopayments and no details are stored on our website. We also have the option to use Paypal if you prefer. This does not require you to have a PayPal account, and permits you to use the credit card of your choice.
