This product is supplied in a 3L pot.
Plant in an open sunny spot in a moist acid, but well-drained soil. Can also be successfully grown in pots with ericaceous compost. Soak the root-ball before planting. Plant in a hole twice the diameter of the root-ball or pot. Mix a soil improver and general fertiliser with the infill soil. Water regularly with lime-free water until established.
Plant 1.5m (5ft) apart in rows 2m (6ft) apart.
Thin out dense bushes by reducing branches by one-third every 2-3 years in winter. Apply a general fertiliser in spring.

The flavour strikes a balance of being sweet yet very slightly tart. The berries store exceptionally well – maintaining their flavour and texture. Easy to grow in all climates.
Eventual height and spread: 1.8m (6ft). Cropping season: late August. Self fertile, but cross pollination will encourage a greater yield.

*Bareroot – November to March is the ideal time to plant bare-root plants. These are plants that have been grown in open ground, then dug up for dispatch and planting during the dormant season. They are called ‘bare-root’ plants as they are supplied with no soil around their roots. They will come packed in damp compost to stop the roots drying out and should be planted as soon as possible. As long as the compost is kept damp planting can be delayed for a few weeks if necessary.
